Vestures of Vaness: Did She Call Me “Polkahontas”??

Today, on Vestures of Vaness, I have a little outfit and mini anecdote for you. I was wearing this outfit and working at a cafe in downtown San Jose. One customer came in and spoke excitedly about my clothes, and by the end of the exchange, I think she may have called me “polkahontas” ?? Is this a microagression??

Anyways –

Here I have on:

• Worksong Wingtip Oxfords by Caterpillar Footwear
• High-waisted black denim shorts by Guess
• Unidentified black leather waist belt 
• Polka dotted cotton button-up 
• Necklace borrowed from my Mom’s vanity
• Clear, round-frame glasses by Converse (prescripted)
